Booking and Contract

Bookings taken over the phone or via email are a contract between the customer and the company (JG Environmental Ltd, registered in England and Wales, Company No. 7568726).

By booking over the phone or by email you waive your right to a 14-day cooling-off period where the work is due to be carried out within the next 14 days. Once treatment has been physically applied to your property, the cooling-off period is automatically waived.

Pricing

Average house sizes based on the number of bedrooms are used when we quote over the phone or by email. JG Pest Control reserves the right to amend the quotation based on the size of the property at inspection or survey, or should the customer's requirements change.

Parking and Toll Charges

If parking is not provided by the customer, parking costs will be added to the bill. Any toll and congestion charges will also be added to the bill.

Customers are required to aid the technician in finding parking if necessary. Permits must be provided to the visiting technician where applicable.

No credit or debit card details are kept on file. Card payments we take are tokenised - these tokens are used to pay for parking costs throughout the course of a treatment.

Access

The customer must give JG Pest Control and our representatives access at the time and date agreed, and prepare the property as described when booking. If keys are provided they must open and close all locks without any special effort or skill.

Failure to give us access will result in a cancellation or reschedule fee of £95 for a 1-man team or £190 for a 2-man team (depending on treatment type, ex VAT).

JG Pest Control cannot be held responsible for triggering any alarm systems. The customer must provide adequate information on disabling and resetting alarms and locks on the premises.

Phone Calls

Most of our phone calls are recorded for best practice. We reserve the right to use information in these calls to resolve any problems. At the time a booking is made it forms a contract between JG Pest Control and the customer. The recording acts as proof of this contract and our terms and conditions are in place at that time.

Payment

On successful creation of an account with JG Pest Control we offer payment terms of 7 days to commercial customers.

In an effort to protect our staff, JG Pest Control does not accept cash payments unless in extreme circumstances.

If bookings are not pre-paid, outstanding balances must be paid before our arrival or on completion of the first visit. Failing this, payment will be taken automatically via tokenisation.

Cancellation and Deposit Policy

Making an appointment over the phone or by email is a binding contract. To cancel you must do so by either email or over the phone with more than 24 hours' notice. Phone calls on the day of the appointment, or emails, will not be accepted and a cancellation fee for the full amount of the job will apply.

Our current minimum call-out charge is £150+VAT. If we arrive and you do not require our services - including if the problem is not a pest or has been wrongly identified - this call-out charge of £150+VAT or 50% of the treatment (whichever is higher) is payable.

We understand last-minute things change. We are happy to waive the cancellation charge providing the job is rebooked within 7 days. This does not apply to free follow-up visits - cancellation charges still apply if we are notified later than 24 hours before the booking.

Heat treatments and other deposit jobs: any remaining fees are taken after treatment automatically unless agreed otherwise.

Emergency jobs must be pre-paid in full, or part paid if agreed. The full payment acts as a deposit and is therefore non-refundable in any case, except where for unforeseen circumstances we are at fault for not attending on the allocated day.

These terms and conditions are binding. JG Pest Control will invoice cancellation fees if necessary. Failure to pay cancellation fees within 7 days will result in the debt being passed to our debt recovery specialists, who exercise the right to also recover their costs - which will increase the charge significantly.

Claims and Complaints

Once a treatment has been carried out there are no grounds for a refund. JG Pest Control carries out treatments at the customer's request. Treatments cannot be undone without significant cost (often more than the treatment itself).

Our policy is to respond to all claims and complaints within 7 working days.

If necessary, we will investigate all claims and complaints in order to present the best possible rectification. Any damage caused by us will be paid for only if contractors or materials are ordered through, or accepted by, JG Pest Control prior to rectification works. Anything beyond this will be handled through our insurance.

Treatment Terms

Treatment-specific terms and conditions are provided with the job report (usually emailed). If this is not the case you can request a copy from the office.

All treatments are carried out by BPCA Level 2 Certified Techs and come with our service guarantee. Treatment-specific guarantees and follow-up entitlements are detailed in the report.

Discounts

Any discounts only apply to standard jobs up to the value of £1,000.00.
